Sebrina Brown, founder of the Girlfriends Tea community and podcast host of Girlfriends Tea with Sebrina, marks the launch of her first book, Girlfriends Tea: Infusing the Best Version of You. Combining personal insight, lifestyle encouragement, and devout urging, this book provides a resource for women looking to exist more authentically, recover from childhood wounds, and embark upon their lives with confidence and poise.
In Girlfriends Tea: Infusing the Best Version of You, Brown borrows from her own story and girlfriend experiences as the impetus for challenging readers to drop the “masks” often worn for compliance with external requirements. In a how-to format, she offers real-life guidance on:
• Overcoming rejection, injustice, and betrayal
• Swap the negative self-talk with strengths-enhancing affirmations
• Building confidence without depending on external verification
• Setting boundaries to protect emotional well-being
• Understanding the triggers of emotions and reunifying the inner kid
A unique feature of the book is the way each chapter concludes with the spotlight on a specific tea. By linking the experience of tea-drinking with reflection, Brown brings together nourishment for both the body and the spirit. This connection between the sensory comfort of tea and personal growth makes Girlfriends Tea distinct from other self-help titles.
“At 62, I consider myself a late bloomer,” Brown says. “This book is as much for me as it is for the women I hope to encourage. Girlfriends Tea is about creating space for honest conversations and reminding women that growth is a process—like infusing a fine tea, it takes intention and time.”
The book extends the vision of the Girlfriends Tea community, a movement built on six key values: meaning, authenticity, connection, empowerment, nourishment, and celebration. Brown reminds readers that they do not need to face life’s challenges alone. By building trusted relationships, leaning into faith, and savoring the process, every woman can move closer to her best self.
Girlfriends Tea: Infusing the Best Version of You is available now in print and digital editions on Amazon and other major retailers. Readers are encouraged to follow the Girlfriends Tea Luxury Tea page on Facebook, where women worldwide can celebrate driking tea and gather for conversation and encouragement via Facebook live interactions and more.
